have added a second trip
What a great time to ride on a pontoon boat and see the beautiful mansions of Winter Park Fl. You will tour the Louis C Tiffany Museum of Art then sit down for lunch in one of Winter Park's finest resturaunts.
This city enjoys more park-space per capita than any other city in Florida and also offers a rich history of great boutique shopping, theater and fine dining.
Parking will be at the Morse Museum, Scenic Boat Tours and 310 Park South
We will start our adventure at the LOUIS COMFORT TIFFANY MORSE MUSEUM which houses the world's most comprehensive collection of works by Louis Tiffany(1848-1933). We will be met by a team of knowledgeable docents who will divide our group into two parts. There will be a film on Tiffany, his life, his homes and his works, and then will be taken on a 45 minute guided tour. You will see thousands of designs from jewelry, pottery, paintings, art glass and his best known work, leaded glass lamps. Enjoy Chapel Windows from the 1893 World Exposition in Chicago plus art and architectural objects from his home on Long Island and country estate Laurelton Hall. Duration 9:15 am - 10:30 am.
After a short 5 minute walk from parking, we will arrive at SCENIC BOAT TOUR'S where we will board an 18 passenger, open air, coast guard approved, pontoon boat driven by an experienced and knowledgeable Captain. For 60 minutes you will be traveling along the pristine chain of lakes which make up the coast line of Winter Park. The Captain will relate historical, informative and humorists stories of past and present regarding residents of the picturesque Village community. The vessel will pass near large yachts, waterfront mansions and then travel to the inside passage ways to enjoy close-up flora, fauna and water life. Duration 11 am - noon.
From the scenic boat tour we will take a leisurely walk to 310 PARK SOUTH a Restaurant known for its award winning cuisine, using the freshest ingredients from local producers. Located in the heart of downtown Winter Park, in a private dining room, you will have a choice of Chicken Bordelaise, Grilled Salmon or Penne Aurora, along with the signature salad, desert trifle and coffee, tea or soft drink.
