Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards opened its doors in February 1989 in Clermont, Florida and sits on a 127-acre estate in gently rolling countryside some 25 miles west of downtown Orlando. This area was once the center of the State's grape industry. After years of phenomenal growth, Lakeridge ranks as Florida's largest premium winery, and remains a pioneer in the development of table and sparkling wines from muscadine and hybrid grapes. Vintage-dated varietals from hybrids such as Stover and Blanc Du Bois are produced and marketed along with blended and sparkling wines from native Muscadine grapes.

Complimentary Tours and Wine Tasting are offered seven days a week. Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday - 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tours usually run every 30 minutes and begin with a 15 minute video presentation which shows the growing of the Florida grapes to the wine making process and the finishing with the bottling and labeling. Your personal Tour Guide will then show you the production area and the spectacular view of the vineyards where the grapes are grown and harvested. The Wine Tasting is held at the large tasting counter. A selection of award winning wines ranging from dry to sweet with sparkling are usually offered. The winery tour and wine tasting lasts approximately 45 minutes. Web site for winery.

We’ll meet at Eisenhower at 9AM and will begin Saturday morning as we drive the back roads to Clermont, FL. We will continue to the base of the Citrus Tower to the PRESIDENTS HALL OF FAME, home of The White House Replica. The 1/12 scale representations are created in exquisite detail.  This is one of the largest depositories of Presidential Memorabilia in the Nation. All 44 Presidents are featured in wax.  You too can sign the Declaration of Independence with a quill while sitting beside Thomas Jefferson.  You may even take it home with you afterwards!  Ladies, get yourself ready for the First Lady mannequins in their gown collection.  There will also be a video presentation.  Bring your Cameras.  You will surely want to take a photo. Come with us and take a handicapped accessible walk through history!

Next we will journey back down Highway 27 to The LAKERIDGE WINERY AND VINEYARDS where they will be having a Summer Music Festival. Talented musicians with Ladyz & Boyz will be on the outdoor stage.  Lakeridge wine, beer, soft drinks, water and a variety of food will be available from vendors for purchase on your own. We will have our tour of the winery, video and end with their 6 Tasting Stations.

We suggest you bring chairs or a blanket.  There is a large open area and a lot of big trees for shade but the chairs may be unavailable by that time.

You are free to leave or stay and listen to the music which ends at 4pm.

What a way to spend a day!
